- How much does it cost?
- The initial set-up fee is $499.99, prepaid by credit card. This is a one-time fee. You are also required to pay the first 4 months of service at $49.99 per month, also prepaid by credit card. Each additional month after the initial 4 month sign-up is $49.99 per month, billed to your credit card.
- How long does it take to get up and running?
- It take about 24 to 48 hours after you submit your sign-up forms. You will also need to setup a merchant account (about 3 days) for all of your credit card transactions, after your website is activated.
- How long is the commitment? Is there a contract?
- The initial term is 4 months. There is a contract, credit application and credit card authorization form that must be completed before we can setup your account. Your card will be billed $49.99 per month after the initial 4 months. You can cancel anytime after the initial 4 months.
- How do I cancel my account?
- When you sign the contract, you are required to pay the initial set-up fee and 4 months of service. You can cancel anytime after the initial 4 months. If you cancel, you will be billed for the full month of service. No partial month refunds. Please email sales@sextoystorebuilder.com to request to cancel your service.
- What do I need to give you to get started?
- Using the sign-up forms, please provide all requested information. After all forms are completed and returned a sales representative will contact you. Fax your forms to (856) 662-0029
- Can I "hide" categories I don't wish to sell on my site?
- Yes. In the admin control panel you have the ability to "turn off" any category that you wish.
- Who processes the credit cards?
- You process the credit cards. You will need a Merchant Account to process credit card transactions.
- Will the shipping box be discreet?
- Yes. It will be in a plain or discreet box. Also enclosed in the box will be a packing slip with your company name on the top. The packing slip will have the items shipped, no product prices, and a return policy with the address for any returns to be sent back.
- Can I use my store name on shipping labels?
- No. The shipping label will have the addressee and our information sent by our shipping department. Your company name and return policy will be on the packing slip inside the box.
- What about hidden costs?
- We have no hidden costs. You will need a merchant account. Merchant accounts and banks usually require a minimum transaction fee and a monthly service fee. The only other fees are from the gateway that provides real-time processing of the credit cards through your merchant account.
- How is this different than an affiliate program?
- The biggest advantage is that you control your markup percentage. Affiliate programs typically give you a commission of 25 to 30 percent of sales generated through your website. Most sites markup 100 percent of the product price which means you can make an additional 70 to 75 percent.
- Can I only sell your products through my website?
- Yes. Your website will contain over 18,000 products, where you pay wholesale price and control the markup percent.
- Can I edit the products? Change prices, etc?
- Only some of the product information can be edited. You can change the product price by changing the markup percent.
- I don't know anything about running a web site.
- All the technical work is done for you, but like any business you will still need to work to be successful. Most importantly, you will need to promote your site to generate sales. This can be done through marketing and SEO meta-data. You will also need to monitor your orders, handle customer support, and handle your business information, including taxes, etc.
- What do I do when I get the orders?
- You should check your website everyday for new orders. This can be done by logging into your admin control panel and selecting the 'Orders' menu option. You will need to confirm any orders for which you have received payment. You would then need to select the order and submit the order with the 'Process' button. Orders are sent to the distributor for processing. You can check the 'Orders' screen at a later time for the order status.
- Can I buy the products at a discount?
- You get all the products at wholesale cost already and you can set the markup percent. For example, if you markup products 100 percent, the toy you sell at $49.95 only costs you about $25.00 and the customer pays for the shipping.
- How do I name my site?
- You will need to go online to a domain name register site to find an available domain name. Once you find the name that you wish to use, you will then need to buy the domain name.
- Can I add other/new products to the website?
- No. Your website will inventory over 18,000 products.
- I already have an existing merchant account. Can I use that to accept credit cards?
- We only support FirstData/Linkpoint Connect, Network Merchants and PayPal Standard at this time. We will be adding more gateways in the future. Email us at support@sextoystorebuilder.com with your gateway service and we will look into adding this to the shopping cart.
- Can my shopping cart accept coupon codes or promotions?
- Yes. You can create coupons on your website.
- What work do I need to do?
- You need to promote your site. There are lots of ways to do this but its hard work. The best way is to add Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to your products and categories. Take a look at http://www.sextoysforwholesale.com for more information.
- Can I use my existing web site domain?
- Yes. Your current domain name can be redirected to your new site once you are signed up.
